Free Pallet Removal Service

If your business receives goods on pallets, you know the problem. Pallets stack up on your dock, in your yard, and along your building. They take up valuable space, create fire hazards, attract pests, and look unprofessional. Many businesses end up paying waste haulers to remove pallets, treating them as garbage. That is money wasted on a resource that has real value.

SD Re Pallet offers free pallet removal for businesses in the San Diego area that meet our minimum volume requirements. We send our truck and crew to your facility, load all the pallets, and haul them away at no cost. The pallets enter our recycling program where they are sorted, repaired, and put back into productive use.

This is a genuine zero-cost service for qualifying businesses. There are no hidden fees, no contracts, and no obligations. We benefit because we acquire raw material for our recycling operation. You benefit because your pallets disappear without a disposal bill.

Scheduling Process

Scheduling a pallet removal is simple. Contact us through the form above, by phone, or by email with your location and approximate pallet count. We will confirm whether you qualify for free removal and schedule a pickup within 2-5 business days.

One-Time Pickups

Need a single cleanup? We handle one-time pallet removals for businesses that have accumulated a backlog. After the initial pickup, you can decide whether to set up recurring service or call us again when the next batch accumulates.

Recurring Pickups

For businesses that receive pallets regularly, scheduled recurring pickups keep your facility clean without you having to think about it. We set up weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly routes and our truck shows up on the same day at the same time. You just stack pallets in the designated area.

Our drivers are professional, courteous, and experienced with commercial dock environments. They bring their own loading equipment and can work around your receiving schedule to avoid conflicts. For businesses with security requirements, we accommodate badge access, check-in procedures, and designated loading zones.

What Qualifies for Free Removal

Our free pallet removal service is available to commercial businesses that meet the following general criteria. These are guidelines rather than hard rules; we evaluate each situation individually and try to accommodate as many businesses as possible.

Minimum Volume

Generally, we offer free removal for 50 or more pallets per pickup. This threshold ensures the trip is worthwhile for our truck and crew. Smaller quantities may qualify for free removal if your location is on an existing route.

Pallet Condition

We accept pallets in all conditions, from pristine to broken. Loads that include a higher percentage of repairable or resalable pallets are more economical for us and may qualify for lower volume thresholds or priority scheduling.

Access and Loading

Pallets should be reasonably accessible for loading. We prefer pallets stacked on a dock or in a designated yard area where our forklift can reach them. If pallets are scattered across a large facility, additional handling time may affect free removal eligibility.

Clean Pallets

We cannot accept pallets contaminated with hazardous materials, chemicals, food waste, or biohazards. Standard warehouse and shipping pallets with normal wear, dirt, and staining are absolutely fine.

Not sure if your situation qualifies? Contact us. We are flexible and we would rather find a way to make it work than turn you away. If free removal is not possible, we can still offer pallet purchasing where we pay you for pallets in good condition, offsetting or eliminating any removal cost.

Detailed Service Zones and Response Times

Our removal service area is divided into three zones based on distance from our facility. Each zone has specific scheduling timelines and volume thresholds for free service.

Response times are from date of confirmed scheduling. Emergency same-day pickups are available for Zone A locations on a case-by-case basis. Call us directly for urgent removal needs.

Free vs. Paid Removal: What Counts

Free Removal Qualifies When:

  • Volume meets zone threshold (40-100+ pallets depending on location)
  • Pallets are wood and not contaminated with hazardous materials
  • Pallets are stacked or staged in a forklift-accessible area
  • Your location is within our standard service zones (A, B, or C)
  • At least 30% of pallets are repairable or resalable condition
  • Recurring pickup schedule (lowers threshold by 20%)

Paid Removal Applies When:

  • $Volume is below the free threshold for your zone
  • $Pallets are 100% broken with no salvageable or resalable material
  • $Pallets are scattered across a large property requiring extended labor
  • $Location requires special access (restricted facilities, multi-story)
  • $One-time cleanout of very large backlog (500+ pallets in poor condition)
  • $Weekend or after-hours pickup requested

Even when a paid removal fee applies, our rates are typically 40-60% less than what waste haulers charge. And unlike waste haulers, we recycle the material rather than sending it to a landfill, so you get environmental benefits alongside cost savings.

Environmental Disposal Certificates

Many businesses today need documentation proving that their waste materials are being handled responsibly. Whether it is for corporate sustainability reporting, ISO 14001 compliance, LEED certification, or simply good environmental stewardship, SD Re Pallet provides waste diversion certificates upon request.

Our certificates document the volume of pallets collected, the percentage diverted from landfill, the material recovery breakdown (reuse, repair, mulch, metal recycling), and the estimated CO2 equivalent avoided through recycling versus disposal. These documents are accepted by most third-party sustainability auditors and certification bodies.

For managed program clients, diversion reports are included automatically in quarterly reporting. For other customers, certificates are provided upon request for any pickup or series of pickups. Visit our sustainability page to learn more about our environmental commitments.

Certificate Includes:

  • Total pallet count collected from your facility
  • Date range and pickup frequency
  • Breakdown: pallets reused, repaired, mulched, metal recycled
  • Landfill diversion rate (typically 95%+)
  • Estimated CO2 equivalent savings
  • Estimated equivalent trees preserved
  • Compliance reference numbers for audit trails
  • Signed by our operations manager
